Mallini is committed to a safe and efficient operation, and has installed a comprehensive plan to accomplish this goal. Mallini has one of the best safety records in our industry. Mallini carries a full line of cargo, workers’ compensation, and auto liability insurance which meets or exceeds all Department of Transportation requirements.

Mallini’s strict hiring procedure is tops in the trucking industry. Not everyone can qualify to join the Mallini team. On average, 50% of our driver applicants do not meet Mallini’s standards and are not hired.

The driver hiring process, along with our ongoing Safety Meetings, help our drivers to be considered some of the highest performers in the industry. Mallini drivers attend Safety meetings which covers Safety Procedures and keeps drivers informed of customer needs and requirements, as well as changes in the industry.

Mallini’s Safety Department is staffed with one full-time Safety Supervisor based out of Mallini’s main Terminal. We also utilized two Third Party Safety Consultants that further bolster our program and perform Mock Level 1 Truck Inspections.

Mallini transports many Hazmat loads per week. In addition to a PHMSA Hazmat license, Mallini also holds a Hazardous Materials Safety Permit (HMSP) as well as being licensed with the Texas Railroad Comission. We have a seperate training program for our new hires that will haul Hazmat loads. This includes a separate customized class that requires a passing grade to complete the hiring process.

Customer requirements are incorporated into our training programs in a collaborative effort to assure Mallini drivers meet HSE expectations. All employees are coached in the basic practices of identifying, reducing, eliminating, and reporting hazards associated with their work. Stop Work Authority, Hazard Training Information, Defensive Driving, and Cargo Securement are core features of our Safety Program. Drivers are coached to report any and all incidents to Mallini. We also invite our Customers to our facility to perform any "Vendor Audits" they would like. Some of our Customers require it annually; others can come by anytime. Our goal is zero incidents, period.
